Dear Mr. President; | January 25, 2001

My name is Tery Adams. I am a single Mother. I am also the founder of
"Deadbeatdadfinders.com". I wrote President Clinton, with not so much as a
response from his staff. I understand and appreciate the demands you have
placed upon you in leading our Country. I also appreciate and understand
the frustrations a single parent endures when dealing with a parent who
refuses to pay their child support. Our Nation is more than aware of the
need to crack down on "Deadbeats." Unfortunately, we have seen little done
to enforce this Federal Law.
"No child left behind" is a wonderful concept, not only for education, but
their rights to a better lifestyle, and opportunities which can only be
enhanced when both parents are financially responsible in raising this
child. Below, you will find an email I received from a women. Her story not
only shocked me, but also reaffirmed my concerns regarding our Countries
disconcert in holding these "Deadbeats" accountable. I will continue to
forward these letters to you, maybe in streams, to get my point across. I
will also post this letter on my website, and encourage others to write you
as well. "No Children left behind"?, I can name hundreds, and there are
thousands. What are you going to do about this? CHILD SUPPORT IS THE LAW!
We DEMAND that it be enforced! There are laws in place that hold high
penalties for Criminal Nonsupport, why are these laws being ignored and NOT
enforced? What good is a law, if it is not enforced? It means nothing, it
accomplishes nothing.
